Summer Fishing in Namibia

Featured Replies

Here we have a unique situation. It's a dry country and only rain in Summer. That means that the rivers is dry most of the year, and only flow one a heavy rainstorm occur. This also means the water level of most lakes from from 80% to 40% getting close to the rainy season. When the rivers do flow the small lakes get filled up fast but with a lot of muddy water, and bringing lost of derby and food.

Now, my question is, I battle to catch any bass during this period. You can spot them but seems like they had enough to eat. What advice could you give me?

If you can see them , they can see you , use stealth when you approach them. FISH SLOW .
