I fish year round. This time of year for me is Hot Water Lake season. Anyone out there still fishing? During the winter months I prefer to fish with a buddy for safety reasons. Anyone still out there fishing and has a spare seat?

I am over in the St Louis area and I am going out tomorrow and maybe Sunday BRRRRR!!!! I was going to fish a Coffeen tournament this weekend, but the water is not frozen yet over here so I have decided to fish for a winter bite. The practice should help me with fishing deeper, slower and with more finesse. But as soon as our water freezes over I will be fishing Coffeen. What lakes do you fish this time of year?

Do any of you guys fish Lake Newton? My college is fishing in a tournament there in March. I curious if you could give me a quick recap of the lake. I know it is a powerplant lake but thats it.

I have yet to fish Newton. I plan to fish up there hopefully next year and also Powerton.  If it's a Powerplant lake,  don't be afraid to throw a buzzbait, even if it's snowing.

Newton has some big big bass! 18" is a keeper up there. WOW!!!
