Summer 08' Trip Need Suggestions

Featured Replies

Ok guys me and a buddy of mine were thinking of what to do this summer as its is my senior year of high school right now and i will be going to college and we decided on a fishing trip. We aren't really sure of where we want to go. Not too sure of what we want to try and catch either, something big and that fights lol.... seen how we haven't really caught anything too big yet. So i guess im just looking on suggestions from you guys on anywhere u guys have in mind that is good fishing, if we should get a guide or what... AS far as location im not too concerned with that we're willing to travel the distance, we live in nh by the way but it doesn't have to be in new hampshire. So any suggestions would be appreciated post or pm with em' thanks guys.

I don't know if bass meet your standard of "something big." But you have a place not too far from you that more than one knowledgeable person has called the best fishery in the country. Of course, I'm talking about Champlain. If it were me, I'd definitely use a guide.

Yea, you've got Winnie and Champlain right in your backyard, 2 of the best fisheries in the country.

GET A GUIDE!!!  At least for the 1st day.

Let us know what you decide upon.  Have a blast!! :)

Champlain hands down, and you can get a hotel room for $50 a night.

I would suggest Burlington, VT/Mallets Bay.

ok we're thinking about somewhere in canada or champlain, we'd be getting a guide for the first day or two regardless of where we go, but we would still like to hear any ideas of any other places u guys can think of... We were kind of looking for a place we could rent on the lake we stay at too.
