yea it was warm yesterday but there is still ice out on the water    im hoping that the rain here should clear the rest up   but im not sure its calling for cold weather tomorrow as well    

The majority of our stuff is still frozen, including lake "X" but there is open water in south county.  Roger Williams is open also (and shallow and forget black bottom,...this place has black water! lol) So I'm willing if I can find a partner.

I hear ya. That definately makes it easier when you can sneak in a trip down south. I was lucky last year and got to go to Florida in early March then did the Lake Fork trip. This year I haven't been able to go anywhere and I'm about ready to go nuts. Haven't made a cast since the end of October last year. I think I forgot how to use a baitcaster. lol

The second I walked out of UPS I took off my hoodie and there was Matty starring at me in a brownie ready for a long day and giving me a one finger wave  ;D On the way home I passed the bank and it said it was already 56*

i just couldn't help myself.

spooled up my BPS rick clunn yesterday and headed out to a local river. there was still ice around most of the edges but i managed to find one spot where i could make some decent casts. didn't expect to even get a bite, which i didn't, but i at least got some practice in.

russ, if i weren't working until 3 i'd be game.

Sorry if you were closer you could have come out with us today...

By next week end most lakes should be open especially after the 2 inches of rain we are going to get tonight...
