Any word from the Cape?

Hey guys,

My brother and I are itching to get our boat out ASAP.  I figured the best place for us to go would be the cape early on.  Is there any ice on the ponds/freshwater bodies of water in the cape?  I am in central Mass, but i know those costal areas ice out faster.

Also, have the bass started to become more active?  I think we are planning to head down March 15.  Any info/updates would be appreciated!

    I talked to a guy from the Cape, back in February and he said that the ponds didn't freeze over this year? He could have been lieing so you may want to seek confirmation but it hasn't been REALLY cold this year.

    Many lakes and ponds on the Cape are open.  Members of a local forum have been getting on good fish all week.  Shallow, dark water is the key this time of yr.
