Hi all. I'm a new subscriber to this forum and was curious if anyone knew of any good freshwater fishing on Long Island, NY.  I have done plenty of stripe bass fishing and would like to hone my freshwater skills before I head down to North Carolina to fish with my brother.

I used to work at the Grumman facility in Calverton. There are a couple of large ponds that have bass in them (the one by the south entrance I used to fish on my lunch hour and it was loaded with them). I was transferred to Maryland in 1998, so I don't know what kind of access is currently available or what happened to the property. If possible, I would definetly check it out.

Conequat River and Lake Ronkonkamo, but that was a long time ago for me, decades ago!!!!!!!!!
