Cobbossee Trip Right Around the Corner!

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I am heading up to Cobbosseecontee Lake this weekend to do some fishing with my brother.  I am extra excited because I just bought a new house and I have had no time to fish this season.  I have never fished this spot, but i have heard a couple things:

1. The fishing can be great

2. It can be difficult to fish because each cove, etc. all looks good to fish, but sometimes they are just not holding fish.

If some of you guys who head up there could give some info as to some good spots to test out, that would be great.

I just ordered a few packs of the coffee tubes from strike king as well as some drop shotting worms.  Im also planning on spinnerbaits, cranks and a strike king king shad.  Do some of these techniques work better than others up there?

I will have very few opportunities to get out fishing this season, so i am hoping for some good advice to help make my few trips as enjoyable/productive as possible!  Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated.  If i get some tips, ill be sure to come back and post some pics of some of the smallies that were caught this coming weekend.

Thanks!

Matt
