Featured Replies

Anyone from Ohio fish the Michael J. Kerwin resovoir?

I have a tournament there later this month and wonder what the place is like.

Any info at all is much appreciated.

Its better known as west branch.  I recently moved to eastern ohio from pa, so I haven't had a chance to fish it yet looks promising.  I'm either taking the boat out there or fishing a tourney at mosquito weds.  if I go to West Branch I'll give you some info...

West Branch isnt all that good for Bass. But it is good for muskie and pike. Mosquito is great for bass. And alot nicer lake. I go to many turnys there.

Thanks alot folks!

I ended up getting 2nd place with only 4 LM, and the guy I fished with got 4 LM also.  The lunker for the day was 3lbs 9oz.

I only had 4 lbs 14 oz, but most of the consistant finishers in our club did terrible.  I almost had a limit, but I broke off a nice fish.  I also caught another 3 LM, all dinks though.

We seen some nice muskie and a couple nice pike also.  My partner also caught a chunky little blue gill.

It was a great day overall.  For me anyway.

Our club has our second Mosquito tournament of the year their next weekend.

Last time we fished there the guy I fished with got first place and I didn't have a bite all day.  If you fish tournies that should tell you alot. >:)
