going back to illinois soon....

Featured Replies

wondering if anyone has any insight as to how central illinois bass are doin in the lakes and rivers? ill be in decatur for a couple days and spending the rest of my time in champaign/urbana. im excited to hit the ol fishing holes. anyone been out fishing around the area?

In Springfield you have Lake Sprinfield and Sangchris which is east of Decatur. When in Champaign you might try Clinton Lake. Keep in mind that Sangchris and Clinton are cooling lakes. These lakes are arm type reserviors so you will have a cool side and hot side. This time of year the cool side will be in the Mid 80's. The first do adapt but you will have to work for them.

i grew up in urbana so i have my spots i frequent. i was just curious if anyone knew how the fishing has been. with all the rain up there i was wondering if it would be worth takin my gear with me when i go.

I fished Clinton about three weeks ago and the lake was high and muddy, Fishing was brutal. Check this for updates.
