Hey all, my brother and i are looking for a smaller sized lake in Maine that will produce some good action for us.  We dont get to fish much, so when we go on trips (We are from Mass), we, like everyone else love to get a lot of bites/action.

We have fished Cobbosseecontee Lake last year, and we are trying to find a smaller lake with less fishing pressure.  I know everyone has their favorite spots and might not want to share, but if you could even send me a PM as to a favorite lake, that would be awsome!  We are looking for some nice smallies!

All of the Belgrade Lakes are good fishing.  I've had good luck on Messalonskee.  Way up north in Island Falls Lake Mattawamkeag is a great smallie habitat but be careful, none of the many many submerged rocks are marked.
