I'll be canoeing the Saco Friday and Saturday and heading back Sunday, can anyone give me any tips on what baits to use? I've had lots of luck on the swimming Senkos lately, specifically Pumpkin..but that's here in MA in ponds and small lakes, not a river...any tips would be great, i'm leaving tomorrow.

my sister and her boyfriend canoe'd down the saco a couple weeks ago, i guess they had the best luck in the coves/ponds that branch off from the main river. all they ever throw is senko's so i can't give any advice on baits.

this wont help you now but in the future id just try fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout, because i went with some rooster tails and inline spinner baits all day one time and caught nothing until i tried flyfishing
