anyone fishing still in the middle of Jan. to the end of Jan. Reason being is that I am going on a trip for work to Vernon hills Chicago. And wanted to possibly fish... is anyone still fishing?

    Just ice, Rivers are open but never fish the rivers in the winter. You will need to drill holes, lakes on the north end where you will be at have about 10-12 inches of ice. South 6-8 inches. We are ice fishing now.
