Washington County Lake (WashCo) tournies

Featured Replies

Yeah guys it's time once again. I'm getting them started early this year to hit some pre-spawn action. I've been out a few times to find the fishing slow but better quality fish eating. The fist two tournaments are as follows:

March 15, 2009       8am - 3pm

March 29, 2009       8am - 3pm

$25 entry per boat (one or two persons) This includes Big Bass pot.

All "normal" tourney rules apply, but we keep it loose to keep it fun.

So any of you Southern Illinois or St. Louis metro area rats who wanna get an early fix on your tournament jonesin' come on out. For more info you can PM me here or email me at wormdragger@hotmail.com.

I hope to make at least one of those tourneys, but Sundays are tough for me. Anyway, if it is at all possible, give us a report on the results.

So... what happened?

Third place guys had two fish for 5-11. Second place had two fish for 9-5 with a 6-4 kicker.  My partner and I won it with a limit (5) going 21+ lbs. with a 7-2 piggie.  Flippin and pitchin a green pumpkin beaver up way shallow on secondary points and small cuts.  Twas a good day for me.  My face is already cramping from the perma-grin.
