Hey, all...  My friends and I are thinking about setting up a camping trip here, as I've heard the fishing is some of the best in IL.  We're thinking about sometime in late June probobaly that last weekend.  Is it too late for some good bass fishing there?

    It would be better if you went sooner. This is a cooling lake and the warm arm will be pretty hot by then. Keep in mind they have a 25HP limit on the lake. Stay in the cooler arms and you may do quite well.

    Yeah, I figured it would be pretty warm by then.  Trust me when I say I'd rather go sooner, but it's not entirely up to me or I'd be there now.  lol

    Do not get me wrong I have fished it that time of year. Find cooler water whatever it is and you will catch them. Normally the coves are cooler so you need to be in a boat.
