I know this will be moved, but I got a question. I never fished up there before, can you catch LMB in the great lakes? Or is the majority small mouth?

Not trying to hijack but to answer your question.  I can speak only for lake Michigan in saying yes there are LM. Not many target LM in lake Michigan however because well... why target them when your sitting on an outstanding smally fishery.

I have caught both LMB and SMB in Lake Michigan. The Classic was held here in 2000. Both species were caught but as I recall Woo won with a bag of Smallies.

Yup, Woo fished for smallies the whole tournament around a breakwall just offshore of Chicago.  Most of the guys that caught LM did so by running in the Chicago River or the Ship Canal.

I'd sure like to see a classic held in Detroit some year.

I've caught over 200 LMB in Lake St. Clair, so far this season.
