Eastern Outdoors show (Harrisburg)

Featured Replies

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it but has anyone been to one of the Eastern Outdoors shows? They look really cool but I wanted to know if anyone of you guys or gals have been there?

I've been going for 20 years now. Man I'm getting old :D I mainly go to see some old friends I only get to see once a year. Years ago you could get some good deals. Not so much any more. If you've never been there plan on spending the whole day. Its huge! Great place to book a fishing or hunting trip.

IM right by there. My dad and i usually go every year. Was just there last week. I dont believe the fishing section was all that great this year but who knows. I was looking to buy a new baitcast reel there but i just didnt find any deals. LOve going though.

I made it down yet again.  I always go with my dad and a buddy of mine.  I really enjoy the guys from Susquehanna Fishing Tackle.  They have a great booth (and website) and are just full of knowledge, imo.   My buddy and I also picked up a few more rods from Robert Nosbisch at B&R Outlaw Rods.  Been using them for a couple years now...fantastic rods especially for the money.

I would go every other year till I noticed the big drop in local tackleshops and the rise of out of state trips. Most of the show is out of the state in the fishing department. So I say > keep going and supporting the little local shows that have local dealers  and less than $5 to get in and free parking outside.  I believe the site is http://tackleshows.com   about 5 states worth of mini shows.  and badbass94 I believe there is one down your way in wellsville next month that I'm a vender at.
