New to UNH need fishin spots

Featured Replies

Im a freshman from new jersey and im currently going to UNH.  I have found a few small ponds but nothing too great.  Is there anywhere I could fish from the bank thats good?

Hey  bassinator,

I went to UNH (about a million years ago) but I never did much fishing around there.

I know there is good fishing in Nottingham in Pawtuckaway state park.  You could also try fishing the Lamprry River in Newmarket.

YOu could head out to College woods behind the football stadium.  thee was a river out there that may have some fish in it.

Some better spots would be Northwood Lake and North River Pond in Northwood.  You could also hit up spots in Hampton for striper fishing.

Good luck.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks a lot! I dont have a car with me but I do have my bike so I might try the closer spots but thanks again

no probleem at all.

The Durham Reservoir may be worth a shot as  well.  It's down by the Whittemore Center I think.

As always I rec picking up the Clark's fishing guide. It is a book full of lakes in new-hampshire. It's basically the good book of NH fishing.

Good luck
