Heading up to Quabbin this weekend and I'm wondering if I should go for Smallies on the big side or go to the lake section for large mouth.

Did I miss the smallmouth spawn completely yey or is there still hope?  My son has never caught one, so I was hoping to go for them.  Any advice?

I know this is probably too late, you're already there. For years my buddy and I would go to the Q every Memorial Day weekend. Although they probably have spawned. you will catch smallies. I don't know what gate you are going out but if you know where Russ Mtn is, fish the South side of it. You can also fish the east and west sides of Zion, as you go through the Pass.
