Hi all.

Two weekends ago got to Lake Wallenpaupack just before dawn and was able to catch quite a few decent bass in shallow water on almost anything. Once it got bright and boats were everywhere, it was nearly impossible to find a bass. Now the last time I was there last weekend, it was hard to get anything shallow even early. To anyone who knows Wallenpaupack well, what is the best thing to do this time of year once it gets light? Are the largemouth suspended after the early morning? I'm mainly looking to catch largemouth but smallmouth will due too.

Once the early bite ends I usually go to deep water (20 ft 28 ft looking for baitfish) around Epply Island for Smallmouth, utilizing Jigging Spoons. I go to heavier weeds on shorelines in 4ft to 12ft depth fishing Jig&Pigs and Fat Ikas very slowly, and letting them sit for a while before starting to work the bait.  And also I go all the way up to the beginning of the lake where it begins (in the no wake zone), and work my way back to the main lake fishing the channel only with tube baits for both LM and SM.
