what would be my best plan for monday's cold front conditions? taking a buddy that hasn't fished for six months and what to get him on some bites.

How familiar with Ky Lake are you?  Where are you launching out of?  Can probably help put you on some fish but I need a little more info.....

lauching at big bear on northern part of lake. know it fairly well, have gps and map card of lake.

I'd be lookin in the backs of the bays EARLY with sammy's or some sort of topwater.  Traps are beginning to produce too.  Then I'd go to main lake points and the first secondary points with jigs, t-rigged plastics or shakey heads.  Might then try med running cranks.
