Any fellow Hoosiers hit Patoka lake lately?

Featured Replies

I went to Patola lake yesterday, 1'st time I've been there in quite some time, and we didn't do anything :)

My brother caught one small bass, and I snagged a nice crappie on a crankbait. Fished from about 7am to 3pm, I think the water temp. was in the mid 60's, calm wind. We didn't do with a darn. I haven't been hearing too many good reports on Patoka lately, so I was curious if any of the forum guys have had any luck there? Thanks John

Buddy of mine went weekend before last for a two day tourney and they weighed five fish total in two days. He said they caught about thirty, but no size.

Sounds like they did better than us anyway. A lot of people think Patoka has really went downhill in the last 5 yrs or so. I don't fish it near as much as we use to. Some time back it was nothing to catch a couple hundred bass their in one trip.

Prior to that they had pre fished about 5 days and had mostly skunked. He says it's gone downhill, too. They stared in the backs of the creeks and fished their way out.
