I currently live in Chicago and I am considering going to Kentucky lake for some fall fishing. I'm about 6 hours away from Kentucky dam. Is Kentucky lake a year round bass fishery? How's the fishing in November? Is there a map or anything that i can purchase that lists a couple of hot spots or community holes to fish?  How's the fishing on the northern side of the lake? Thank you

going there in a few days, hopefully temp. dips below 90! haven't fished it in nov. but i do usually fish north end and have pretty good luck. if you don't want to fish banks and points, then a detailed topo. or gps map and good electronics is a must.

I have a friend with a cottage on Barkley who fishes there for a week or two in mid to late November and catches numbers of crappie.

We bird hunted in southern Il for years and had more too hot years than cold ones. Southern Il is closer to Memphis than it is to Chicago.

My brother and his son fish it often in the spring. They do very good fishing rock ledges with a carolina rig. I don't think they go much in Nov., but it may be worth a try.

There is generally some very good fishing here in November .... topwater bite lasts all month usually among other techniques.
