Spruce Run Reservoir

Featured Replies

I'm planning on going to Spruce Run soon, and I'm looking around for a nice depth map of it, but I can't seem to find one.  Can anyone post one, and if so, any good spots for perch, bass, crappie? anything helps really, thanks in advance!

Ah, Spruce Run, my 2nd favorite lake in NJ. If you are not very familiar with the lake and wish to fish for bass: Go directly across from the boat launch to the opposite shoreline. Start at the point (which starts after the cove to the right of the Restricted Area) and go right... fishing the shoreline up to the Limit of Public Use area. 5 Senko type baits, Fat Ika's (rigged backwards), 4 straight worms rigged on Slider jigs, soft jerkbaits and spinnerbaits have worked best for me. (you might pick up a Striper or two also).

Here is a map for you (good luck):
