Anyone in Nova free Sunday?

Featured Replies

Any Nova anglers free Sunday morning to hookup? So far I'm looking at either Lake Mercer, Huntsman, Fairfax, Royal or Barton. If anyone is interested in hitting one of these up I have a friend I'm bringing but we'd be up for hanging out and shooting the breeze with some new people or other friends while landing some lunkers. Ideas and commitments welcome. Wanna get something set in stone soon, so just let me know.

P:s:  I'm lookin at fishing from about 6:30am - 11:00am.  Wanna be home for football and so I don't leave the wife by herself all day.  Later guys.

Alright man, you wanna do the Lake Fairfax thing then?  I've never fished there before so that sounds fun.  Looks like a nice little place.  We can meet up at the lake.  Shoot for a 6:45-7:00am time?

Any other takers welcome.

you may want to double check with the park office, I think a trout fishing license may be required in winter.

Heya J, I'm gonna be heading back up to NoVA this weekend, and 6-11am is perfect...right before I have to drive back down to Richmond.  I broke my BC rod last month so you'll get to see my weak spinning skills  :)

i'll keep checking the forum for more updates!

Hey guys we do need to buy a license.  We can do so at the park with visa/mastercard or cash.  Bring 10 bucks with you as this is what is costs.  It's for this week due to the trout stocking like nova said before.  Eh, whats 10 bucks for some good ole fishing with buds.  If money is an issue we can change it up.  Just let me know if its an inconvenience and we'll work something out.

Hey Jason did they say when they stocked? I usually get a notice from the park before stocking but I didn't get one this fall. I may head out there this weekend if they stocked recently.

I usually fish Lake Fairfax once or twice a year. It gets crowded as heck but it can be fun. I swear the trout they get are on steroids.

I'm not sure of the stock date man but if you want to give em' a buzz just go to google... type in "lake fairfax va" and the link to their fairfax county park site should come up in the top five.  The number is at the bottom of the screen I believe.  You should join us, whether its for trout or bass.  Either way it would be some fun.  Let me know man.  Like I said we'll be there sun up and stay til' about 11.

wish I could go J but Im paintballing with co-workers. I can only fish Saturday, so maybe some other time dude. Have fun guys.

I'm interested too!

Hey guys,

Hey fellas. Change of plans. For anyone I pmed info give me a call tonight or tommorrow afternoon and I'll let you know definates.

Fairfax is probably going to be packed due to the recent trout stocking and instead of being shoulder to shoulder fishing for bass with trout guys, most of us would rather have casting room. Plus I've got a few negative reports about the bass fishing here today so.

We are going to be hitting Lake Huntsman in Fairfax. Not too far from Lake Mercer, you can find it on google earth. If anyone needs directions just call me. Same time, around 6:45 or 7am I will be there, just depends on lights and such getting through the main roads Sunday morning. Me and Anglernfuego are definate, so hopefully see the rest of you there.

I won't be logging on here again until Monday that's why I'm putting this up. If you wanna get in touch with me, cell it. Hopefully see you guys Sunday morning so we can get a great report on here on Monday. Later fellas.
