Maybe we could get together and put on a small tourney of our own.   We could fish some of the less pressured lakes that don't have the access for the larger tournaments.  We could even have a draw format to take some of our non boat owners out for some fun on the water instead of on the bank.  What do you think?

I am down. I dont own a boat but my best buddy does, hopefully some more people will see this thread.

I guess just you and I thought this was a good idea GCPM.   Too bad.

Im here in the Ocala   area and I put one on last year called the Backwood's Bassmasters, really had a good time. Had about 10 regulars and sometimes up to 25 boats. We fished alot of ocala national forest lakes which really had some great weighin's. We tried Rodman Resivoir but it was the weekend of the save rodman tournament so had to switch. We fished Half moon, pannisofskee, rousseuu, moss bluff, st. johns river, lake weir, hernando,Lake Kerr. Had alot of fun, Might throw it this coming year will post something about it if If do. or you can email me if you just want to talk fishing. b75nweav@yahoo.com

We should get the people that use this site and live around here to all fish a tournament that is already going on, that way we wouldn't have to organize anything. I like that wednesday nights tournament on lake conway, but Im sure there are a lot of other choices.

you guys should jump into the thursday night tournaments that ron puts on in polk county... they are great fun, and laid back... he does 100% payout and goes from labor day-ish to memorial day... he puts on fun tourneys with anywhere from 20-70 boats... the great thing is there are anywhere from 9ft jon boats w/ 5hp kickers to '08 ranger z's... its fun

call him @ 863-956-4990

or check upcoming tournies @ http://theledger.com

Lake Tarpon has a Tuesday night fishing tournament starting when daylight savings time kicks in.$20 or $25 entry fee.

Another idea that my wife came up with.

We like to go to Crooked Lake and stay at Hillcrest Lodge.  They have a private boat ramp (no dealing with the congestion at Bob's), power on the dock for charging batteries, and we could make it a family/fishing outing kind of thing.  The best thing about it is they are cheap.  Not 5 star but better than a fish camp.
