Fish Attractors

I have been using Christmas trees as fish attractors for years and they are the best. Besides cover they will keep baitfish arround most of the year. I now have access to some caines and was in hope of finding some one who has used them before. I would like to know how big to construct it, how to fish with soft baits, best depths, What to use to put it together and how bouant are thy (how much weight needed to sink). Any ideas would be appreciated!
