was just recently down in florida a few weeks ago, and after i left i heard that parts of florida have peacock bass? is this true? anyone ever fish for them?

where can i find them next time i vacation down there?

You will not have to look very far for peacock bass in Miami-Dade county. I grew up in Cutler Ridge south of Miami and we caught them all the time on beetle spins (black/ yellow stripes). You may not catch any bigguns but you will probaly catch a lot. Let me tell you those are some hard fightin' SOBs. Just find a canal and watch out for gators. You may even catch a oscar!
