Strike King Rage baits & Coffee Tubes

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried the new Rage baits and/or the Coffee Tubes that Strike King introduced for 2008? I've seen both on tv and read some reviews. On tv I think it was the guy that developed the rage series and of course he thinks it's a fantastic topwater lure. The articles were also favorable but I'd like to hear from the non pro fishermen. What's the verdict? Do I unleash the bait monkey? Or is the hype not proven on the water?

I just tossed the Rage Toad yesterday evening in a small pond near my house and I was really dissapointed with it.  It's action is pretty eratic, but I didn't like how inconsistently the legs kicked.  The would throw water for 5ft, then the next few feet they would just drag and I would have to give it a hard pop to start them again.

I think I'm gonna stick to the Horny Toad and the *** toad.

the frog and the chunk have great action. i had a tourny this past sunday and threw speed worms, hornys, flappin shads, and rage frogs. the rage produced all of my bigger fish. i think the fish wanted a louder frog than the horny. i still love the horny, but on sunday the rage was the king.
