Day 2 Skunked.

Featured Replies

Went out on burke lake today. It was showering so i stuck it out for about a few hours until it got harder so anyways i only had 1 hit with the Mr. worm two toned purple with red tail and thats about it for 4 hours. Wind was amazingly strong from here to there. So can anyone explain to me why Burke lake is sucking right now? haven't caught anything out of this lake since spring  started. oh and one more thing to ask, can someone make like a "when to use the lure" list for me! i'd highly appreciate it. I don't know when to use what lure for different occasions.

thanks!

Don't be sad, I've never caught a fish at burke in my life  :(

Everyone tells me i should try and get out there at night and that fishing during the day is just too tough.  You'll get on them soon, no worries.  I was skunked on my first 6 outtings of this year  :o

I fish a pond like that around the Myrtle Beach area. what can be done to find the fish in there. i know they are there, i just can't get my lure to attract the fish. and pointers.

Chai,

Honestly dude, fish another lake man.  Burke is a TOUGH lake if you are just starting starting out.  Once the grass is back in full force come summer you can catch some small ones in the grass almost every time out with senkos.  Some of the guys know some "spots" where you can pick em' off with C-rigs and what not, if you ask them they may be able to provide help.

Other than that I'd take a ride a few miles down the road to either Lake Huntsman or Lake Mercer.  Mercer is probably really high right now so Huntsman may be your best bet since the water was so low before all the rains and such.  If you need directions to either call me dude.  You got my number.
