I try to hit Douglas and Cherokee at least twice a year.

Norris in on my list, I wouldn't fish Loudon if you paid me.

Any of you two gentlemen have any advice or helpful info for fishing Douglas? Do yall have any clue what baits, where to fish, etc..... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cherryseed or junebug Zoom plastics.  I've had the most luck on the south bank downlake from Swann's.  Also along the bank in Dandridge, from the bridge up lake.

Splitshot rigged finesse worm or a t-rigged baby brushhog with a light weight.

Take that FWIW, I've only fished down there at night in August.

Talked to a friend that fishes both with his club out of KY and he does pretty good on Fouglas on a DD22 in the shad colors, lavender shad, chartreuse shad, nutter shad, and the new SX Shad and SX Shad Chrome.

Outstanding! Thanks

Douglas Lake-As of last week the deep cranking bite had not started, but will soon. I only fish a shaly head when the bite is tough but it will work. The are a lot of weeds that grew last year when the lake was very low that are now in the water down to about five feet. Many of the tournaments are being won shallow because or water temp being cooler then normal for this time of year and the weeds. Find weeds=find fish. A lot of fish are being caught on spinnerbaits in the weeds and on carolina rigged lizzards or brush hogs, green pumpkin/chart, pumpkin/chart and cherry seed to name a few. These fish will probably move deeper soon..............but you can always catch some fish shallow.

I haven't fished Cherokee in a month or so..........No info..............Al

Outstanding Info "SHIPMATE"!!!!! I'll be camping down past the d**n in Flat Creek and usually do fairly well fishing those points on the oposite end of the POWER HOUSE (or whatever it is). Seen the weeds in the water today and got really excited!!! :o Also, thank you for your service SIR; both my Dad and Uncle were in the Navy. My dad calls me a "Sea Going Bail Hop", I call him a "Squid" and it's all in good fun!! ;D My uncle was a Corpsman and was stationed with the Marines pretty much his entire time in.

My personal favorite- USMC= Uncle Sams Misguided Childred and of course in fun. I made many friends while serving including Marines. My only regret was retiring. Civilians suck.......Good luck and God bless...................Al

I fish a lot on Ft. Loudon and Tellico. Ft. Loudon can be ok but you must know where to go and you will spend all day dealing with the nimrod jet skiers and tubers and kids in thier dads ski boat. I like tellico better up river as it has less boaters.

On an other note I hope your not over seas. I was in the Navy the first gulf war. Had some friends in the Marines. I told them it stood for I disagree Rides In Navy Equipment. LOL ;)

Good luck and be safe.
