Heading to Rutledge, TN Saturday for a week, any help?

Featured Replies

So my buddy has a house down in Rutledge, TN. I believe he said he's right on Lake Cherokee? He has a small boat...We're leaving Saturday from Boston and staying till the 5th of July. Any tips on what's been working down that way, any help would be great as I have never done any southern fishing before, not to sure if it's any different...I'm hoping bigger fish though!! :o

Any tips on bait, techniques, spots,  etc. would be awesome, thanks!

If you just want to catch fish, head up to Poor Valley and throw some plastics.

Hard to find a bad spot on Cherokee.

I live on cherokee lake. Yeah like burley said if you want catch a lot of fish...Fish the living crap out of poor valley and you'll catch 'em.

IMO the quality fish lives in and around german creek. Cherokee quite a struggle at times, but I've caught fish in just about every spot on cherokee, but I just dont catch 'em consisently on this lake.

Early in the morning they'll be killing your buzzbaits and poppers. As the day progress pull up to boat docks and throw some senkos and you might hook a few spotted bass.

Anymore question PM me.
