Hello there just a few quick questions.

since i am new to bass fishing,

what kind of lures should i be useing (top water, worms, crank baits.)

I fish early morn on Quantico mostly ponds, an every now an then on lake lunga all from the bank.

I have had some sucess lately using spinner baits an buzz baits. but i want to learn other style of presentations.

any help would be appreciated.

Memo43, I fish Quantico all the time and have had good luck with Rage Tail toads and shad ( with a gamakatsu 5/0 ewg hook) near the lily pads. In open water I have had good luck throwing Stanley Spinnerbaits (double willow blade and translucent color skirt) and poppers. I have also caught a fair share of bass on Cavitron buzzbaits at Quantico.

If you ever want to get together and fish Quantico let me know. I have a bass boat for the open water and a canoe for the creeks and ponds.

to the forum, there are a lot of great anglers (forum members) in Northern Virginia that can help you learn about bass fishing.
