Cove Campground

Featured Replies

Wassup, has anyone ever fished the three lakes at the Cove Campground, in Gore Virginia? I live pretty close, and go up there every now and then for music festivals but, have never fished the lakes. Might head up there sometime soon, while it's still nice outside.

Interesting that  you posted this, I'm actually down there this weekend if everything pans out. I'll be sure to let you know how i do :) Good luck if you make it out there.

So I will end up heading out to camp at The Cove Campground this weekend. I'm looking forward to fishing some unfamiliar waters. They have 3 spring fed lakes, which they say are stocked with small and largemouth. Interesting. Has anyone on here fished this place? I understand they have jon boats and canoes also. Seems like a nice place.

Looks like there will be some good entertainment there this weekend also, off road jamboree baby!!! :D

Hopefully I come back with a good fishing report. :)

I live in winchester, and have wanted to fish those.  I don't camp, and the entry fee is too high to just fish for a day.  Do they let fishermen go in there w/o paying the 1 night fee?

John, I just called and checked and they do not. They said the lakes are for the private use of the campers. Yea, the weekend entrance fee is a bit steep. but Mon-Thursday entrance fee is only $7.

$7 - That isn't too bad... Thanks for the info.
