Another carolina ?

Recommended Posts

I haven't been fishing in a few months because of work and I got an invite for tommorow to finally get out and wet a line. We are going to be fishing a tidal river in eastern nc.

The water temps were in the 60's but the past week the highs haven't broke the 40's and we have had some snow flurries. My guess is the water temps are mid to upper 50's.

My question is to what baits should I start with. I figured with the temps the way they are to start with a jerk/slash bait on one rod and a jig n craw on the the other. I would appreciate any and all input for those who have been out lately.

I don't fish tidal water, but here in Raleigh a jig has been the hot bait lately...your plan sounds like a good one to me. I catch them on trick worms in the winter too, even when the water temps get into the forties. Good luck on your trip.
