do the mice in that link really catch fish

NOPE!  I bought a couple of the ones on the right, they don't work that well.  They sunk as soon as you start working them.

If you're going to get a mouse, look at the Snagproof mouse, those work the best.  Or if you want one w/ treble hooks exposed look at the Heddon Mouse.

Just don't waste your money on the BPS mice.

IMO if you are going to through a bait like that I'd recommend the SPRO Frog or upgrade the "rat" hooks to the new Gammy frog hooks.  

Sharp hooks that are snag free are the most important part of this kind of bait since the fish can't really see it that much through the thick cover.
