Reelfoot Lake HELP

Featured Replies

For my 13yr olds birthday I have scheduled a trip to the Bluebank Resort for late June. Does anyone have any good advice for this place?

It will be my first time fishing there and would appreciate any help you guys might be able to offer.

Thanks in advance,

John

The lake gets pretty veg'd up by summer.

Bream and catfish will be biting.

Bass on rats spinner baits and JignPig.

The crappie bite will be slow but, they always seem to be somewhere.

I'd get a guide and ask them to put you and the kids on anything and everything.

This is a scarely lake. Shallow, full of stumps and easy to get disorientated on. Get a map or a chip.

Ask the Resort if Mr Parker is still guiding. Also, ask them if Mrs. Calhoun can show you around her late husband's boat shop. Home of the famous reelfoot boat.

Gobi,

Thanks for the info, I'll have to look into the "rats" we have plenty of spinners and jigs. Is there a particular type of rat you would recommend?
