Besides Stick Marsh...anyone know of any Central Florida lakes with a lot of wood/submerged trees in them?  I get tired of fishing weed lines and seeing the same old grass bowls  

What about any small lakes, like 5000 acres or less, even large ponds that you can put a boat into?  Something other than the FWC typical lakes like Ivanhoe and a few others in Orlando.  Anything else?  Interesting wooded Ocala ponds?  Something different.

I haven't fished it in over a year but turkey lake has a lot of laydowns. If you have good electronics you can fish Conway... If you can locate the brush piles you will be set--they are excellent producers.

when it comes to some serious wood fishing, I think you are out of luck

its a little bit of a drive from orlando but there is rodman res.

lake washington, west of melbourne has wood all the way around the south and western sides. and its a great place to fish...if you like catching GAR...seriously, the bass fishing in washington has sucked in recent times.

Miami garcia, south of the stick marsh has a canal that runs to the stick marsh, all along that canal are stumps and laydowns as well

lake gentry, south east of st.cloud has a lot of cypress fields, but I'm not sure how deep they are.

those are what I know about.

Not sure how far you are willing to travel, but....

   Lake Rousseau/Withlacoochee River is chocked full of stumps and trees and has some monster bass in it. You have to be very careful though, cause you could lose your bottom end very easily. As long as you stay in the channel you are ok., but once you venture outside of that I would use trolling motor only.

John's Lake is the only one listed so far that I have fished. It has some wood here and there but I was more thinking something chaulked full. Like flooded forests basically

Maybe what I am yearning for is for a Stick Marsh closer to Orlando

Rodman Reservoir has a large stump field, The St Johns River has a lot of cypress trees along the edge.
