Any word on the striper or shad run up the James River. Have they reached the 95 bridge yet? And if so what are you guys catching them on? I am planning to head up there next week to try my luck. Any tips would be nice. This is my first striper attempt.

Heya, I've heard that the striper are there but I haven't seen any caught.  However the shad are definitely there, I've been catching them on small 1in gold or silver spoons.  

Also, perch are running like crazy too, people with the sabiki rigs catch them 2-3-4-5 at a time
