I live north of Atlanta and would like to find some places to fish that I can take the kids and catch some bass. Any of you guys know of any public places? I prefer places I can go after work and don't need my boat.

stone mountains a good pfa (public fishing area) you can look it up online and thats not to far. but for a weekend trip you should try charlie elliot wildlife management area, also you can just look it up. other that that i fish office parks and some golf course ponds etc. which do always produce nice quality bass here in ga.

You can also try Tribble Mill Park (Grayson) and Black Shoals (North Conyers, south Loganville).  Both of these offer good public fishing and would be good for the kids.
