Whats up everyone. I am new to the James River have always fished ponds my whole life and just recently decided to start hitting the James for "some of the best Smallmouth in the world" that I keep reading about. Can anyone point me in a good direction. I have been playing North of the Boulevard bridge and catching some little guys having a lot of fun. Heard Pony Pasture is fun too? Fish for some big cats up there but never smallies. Whats hitting this time of year? Just got a ton of crank baits, any worm size killing them? Size hooks? Lotta questions.
