Has anyone floated (canoe/kayak) between Algonkian and River Bend parks on the Potomac?  River map shows Dam 2 and Class II rapids between the Parks.  So, is it doable/recommended?

Looking for deeper water since the Upper Potomac is very shallow right now.

    I believe there is a fairly deep trench just upstream from Algonkian on the  MD side of one of those islands just upstream of the boat ramp.
