Anyone fish lake Montclair in Prince William?

Featured Replies

Saw it on the map and it looked really good, did some research and people say its very god for bass, crappie, catfish & pickerel. One post i found a guy said he has 4 citation bass from it. Its not the biggest lake which I think is good and best part is it public. So if anyone has any experience with this lake please share as I am very curious and would like to try it out asap

I would re-check the public access of Montclair.  It is run by a HOA, and my understanding was that you had to be a member (or guest of a member) to swim or launch a boat.  The beaches and boat access are likely closed this time of year unless you have a key:  the only boat ramp I've used there needed a key to gain access.

private you say....hmm I gotta check into this

thanks mudkart

It is private and you have to be a member of the HOA. If you are a member then you have to pay the fee for the sticker for your car and a key.

I live about a mile and a half from it but never gave it much thought. I just assumed it wasnt stocked. I wish I knew someone who lived in montclair so I could check it out. Never heard of anyone catching any fish there but now u got me curious. Maybe I will sneak in there and do some shore fishing.

If it's full of water the whole year then it is stocked with something.
