Lake Monroe Fl help

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I will be headed down to Lake Monroe to practice for an upcoming tourney. Im just looking for basics on water clarity, temp and things to look for.

Thanks

Kyle

kyle, I wish yall would come fish my tourny but, the water will be darker than what you are used to, it will most likely look like tea, how ever clears areas are possible if you find areas with hydrilla. the temp will be in the upper 60 to low 70's I fish up a little further north last weekend and it was sitting between 70 and 72. look for areas with sparce pads, if there is hydrilla it is best, and of course look for schoolers, they shouls be around right now. Also try bulkheads, I personally tend to catch more fish off steel with any kind of turn or bend but rocks are good to. make note of how the water is running. and check creek mouths and that kind of stuff agian for schoolers. read what i sent yall for my tourny it is fairly similar.
