saw lots of beds yesterday, sunday, studs were easy to catch on worms - saw nothing over 2lbs. Don't know if spawn is being consummated yet.

whered u see beds?

there were lots of beds on the alley and some other guides saw  them in the miami canal - I'm not catching them on the beds but in the area - thursday had a good time 11 in two/three hours with  a couple in the 5lb class all on frogs all in vicinity of beds - one of the old timers says this is the time for the really big ones, that they spawn first in the glades. Of course really big bass are but a dream to me but I try.

I never been in Holiday Park but I live close. Can anyone of you can tell me where is the most active area.. or at least where can I expect more largemouth strikes.

I went once to the same canal but way south and catched 4 big bass in less than 4 hours. Biggest was about 6 pounds and the smaller was about 3 pounds. Everything with SpinnerBait.

What about Markham Park area? or Alligator Alley.

I found good fishing on the alley from the toll booth west - there were beds but the fish I caught were in deep water adjacent to the nests - I was fishing a t-rigged 9" worm - the hits came when the worm dropped off the edge of shallow down to 11'- nothing big but lots of 11/2 lbers . Three days later I caught some nice fish, a couple of 5's on frogs but it took a lot of casts. With this cold front I expect nada from the frog for a few days.

We had a club tourney out of Holiday on Sunday. The good news was that everybody caught a limit-the bad news was that they were all pretty much 12-14" inchers (last year's 11"s) I must have caught 25-30 keepers but when I culled it was to pick up like a 1/16 of an inch here and there. With vacation going on it's a great time to take your kid and grandkids fishing as they will see some action.  As far as the question about best place to go-I'd say go up the Alley and go west as far as possible or go out to the Miami canal and go north up past the center canal. Lot's of beds in both places-unfortunately I just found the little bucks
