Lox trip

Went out this morning to the refuge w/ my father-in-law.  Made the run from the Southern Blvd ramp to the flats and caught about 8 buck bass, but the wind took all the fun out of it, especially since he wore SHORTS and SANDALS! Told him it was going to be cold. but didn't realize the wind was going to blow 20 knots (Wunderground.com let me down)!!  We only fished about 3 hours before I made the long run back going 60MPH into a head wind! He said he didn't mind the long run since his feet and legs were numb already.

If you are down that way try the flats, find the eel grass edges and throw a Skinny Dipper with a 1/16 or 1/8 oz. bullet weight and let it drop in the darker holes and set up on a DINK for me! If you find the big'uns please do share your secret cause my last two trips have been dink city!
