I tied the lure to the line by the clinch knot but its not heavy to be casted far, and I'll be fishing from a dock so please tell me how to cast it.

I had good fishing with it today, I casted the first two times then at the third time I said to my self I want to see how does it move so I faced the rod to the right and left and all of a sudden that small big mouth came in a snap.

that day I only caught this one and that was my first bass.

That lure should cast like a rocket with your spinning outfit.  If is not your line may be too heavy.  10# test should be plenty heavy for that outfit and allow you to cast a long distance.

use 10 or 15# braid with a 36" mono leader and you'll cast farther than you can believe
