LOX ????

Featured Replies

Anyone been to lox lately.... Seems the bite has been tough. Going to take the wife this weekend, wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.    thanks alot

I'm going to Lox tomorrow.  I think they are getting ready to pop with the better weather...I want to be there when they do.

I went to Lox last Tuesday.  Started out a little slow in the morning, but it warmed up nice in the afternoon and I got into them pretty good  I caught about 20...~15 of those between noon and 2:00PM.

i fished sunday and last night at lox. both days we caught fish. no real size, a 4 pounder being the biggest. fished the west end in the eel grass with dippers and traps. lots of small fish. the fish are there, just gotta figure out what mamma wants.

Went to Lox yesterday.  Caught about a dozen from 9:30 to 2:30.  Size was a little better than it has been...I caught three over 16".  No Piggs...still waiting for the big girls to turn on.  The one in this picture I think was the biggest.

Fun day though.  I would have weighed a 5-fish limit ~ 13 pounds yesterday fishing by myself.

Congrats on the nice bass, I have not been able to go fishing lately :(

Got to get out to Lox...when it good there...it can be real good.

I got some new skinny dipper type(Bass pro Outdoor world brand) swim baits to try out. The look like a natural shiner...paddle tail.

Went out yesterday...... And killed em !!  Caught 3 in the 5 lb range. Think the water temp is finally where it needs to be. Still seems the best catches are in  the afternoon though.

i also went out yesterday and STROKED 'em! we only weighed 4 fish, but they went 5.8, 4.15, 4.11, and 4.6. we had a buch more that were real close to 4 pounds. at least 30 mish in the 2-3 pound range. fished from 2:30 to 7:30.

i think i saw you out there yesterday kdubya. i was in the triton. it was a great night.

the pic below was a fish that weighed 4.6. and the second pic was of how all the fish were eating last night.

Yea man.... I see you out there all the time. That area we were in was going off. I'll be heading out there this afternoon again. (Nothing like a good ol dipper)

I went back out there today. Had the two kids with so I wasn't able to stay too long.  I caught about 10 from 11:00to 1:00. One was well over 5lbs. Easily my biggest of the year so far.The size of the fish has been outstanding the past few days.  The big girls are slammin.  Bocabasser, that second picture is a familiar sight.  A houdini colored Skinny Dipper about half way down.

Anyone go out yesterday? I went out from ~3:00 -7:00. Caught a bunch of fish (maybe 20) but the size wasn't as good. Got one about three pounds and another about 2.5lbs, and the rest were small.

I did catch the biggest chain pickerel I have ever seen. It was 26.5" and looked like it just swallowed about a 12" bass. I don't think it was too far off the state record (picture enclosed). I didn't weigh her...just took a quick picture with the cell phone and put her in the water as she was bleeding a little bit.

Nice one.

I caught a similar sized chain pickerel last year at Lox. The colors on the CP's are really cool. Looks like I might be going out there this Friday afternoon... :)
