Butler Chain Orlando, Fl

Featured Replies

I will be taking my first trip to the Butler Chain this weekend. I will be putting the boat in on Lake Down. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Nick

Didn't see this in time - how did you do?

I love fishing there, it fishes a lot of differently than most central fl lakes. Lots of good offshore stuff, although I have actually only been there a handful of times.

Seems like the lakes are each unique, can't necessarily run the same pattern on each lake if you find a good one.

Hope you had a good time.

I did have a great day on the chain. We caught the most fish on lake down and little lake down but caught more quality fish on lake butler. It was really nice and clean and i will be goin back.

Where are the best boat ramps to put in for the Butler Chain?

I used the boat ramp on Conroy Rd. , but will not use it again. It was nice, but i guess the city doesn't want people parking at the ramp, they want people to park down the road and walk. The closest place to park is a Albertson's which is right a 1/2 mile walk. So next time i go the the chain i will be using a boat ramp off of Chase Rd and that ramp cost $5 dollars to use everytime.

What's the best way to get to the Chase Rd. ramp?  I will be coming from east of Orlando near Christmas.

Im sure the easiest way would be down 417 to 408, but if you go to google and type in R.D Keene Park and Boat Ramp it will give you an exact address.
