I went out on chesdin this weekend on the boat and could not find a single bass, are there any ok spots out there?  im going to pick up a paper topo map tommarow, but if someone could just help me figure this lake out it would be nice.

Get a GMCO map of the lake at Green Top or BPS.

Did you notice a front move through the area this weekend bringing blue bird skies and high winds?

i threw everything, no joke.  i fished most of the lake except near the swamp lands due to the fact i do not have a console depth finder to know where it gets shallow.  i got stuck there last week so i wont go near it any more.  and i noticed the skys but im not sure what a front is.

Watch NBC12 weather reports and you will hear the weathermen discuss "fronts" be they cold or hot.

When a cold front passes through an area the bass are active before and during the move but will get lockjaw after the cold front continues through.

Best time to fish is when there are clouds and a little wind as the cold front moves through. When the bluebird skies appear the bass quit biting and you will have to fish harder to find them.

As for Lake Chesdin, keep out of the Swamp as it can be very dangerous getting in and out unless you know where to turn and what areas to avoid.

Lots of places to fish on Lake Gaston. Get a GMCO map (unless you already have one) and PM me. 

Try Tackle Express on Midlothian if you can't get out to BPS, Gander Mountain or Green Top for the map. Should Craig not have any Lake Gaston maps you will have to go to Green Top or one of the other stores for the publication.

Make sure it is a GMCO map.

I have a club tournament on Lake Gaston on May 22 but will give you some information after that date!!! 

i may try gaston, just seemed like a small hike from chesterfield so thats mainly why i like chesdin at the moment.

You need maps of all bodies of water you fish.

yes i took the coarse, and i already have a map of chesdin.  ive tried to mark spots i thought would be good but none of them turned up anything.
