Florida bassers, Important survey!!

Featured Replies

Definitely can't hurt and hopefully enough input from local anglers will only stress the importance of a healthy fishery for Florida.  I am going to have some friends fill this one out to!

Yeah I got that in my email earlier.  Going to sit down tonight after dinner and fill it out.

I got mine in the email and filled it out earlier this evening.

Got mine too.  Seems like a good idea.  Now let's see what they do with the info.

we had some FWC guys come to a club meeting an tell us they are taking imput very seriously and they will in the next several months becoming out with a 2010 to 2030 bass program.

X2 very good presentation made to our club. I know we have all become cynical about gov't and such but cynicism is the money interest's best friend. So take the time and complete FL anglers because these people want to do the right thing for anglers IMO

I got the feeling they were trying to steer me against bass tournaments? What did yall think?

the way they presented it to us it was the total other way. thry like tourny fisherman for a number of reasons most of which are the get good info from us and we protect and keep our catch alive to be released.

I don't think so Shane, in fact its the other way around, their starting to see how Tourney Bass fishing is financially helpful to the community and they see the writing on the wall, as to all the money us nut jobs spend.

I never had a problem with FWC they v always been a helpful organization and a friend to the Bass fishery, its the water management sector that they have to deal with to try and make the lakes work.

IMO in Florida I feel the most important issue is water level management, I was glad to have a chance to voice my opinion on it.

same here. an fwc officer was at our meeting a month ago and said our input is crucial for future decisions. i highly encourage all floridians to please complete this survey.

I filled out the survey; found it biased in some areas, but if they respect the obvious responses that most responsible anglers should have given, it will help preserve and improve the quality of our sport and reap tremendous revenue for the state.  This provokes another question.  What would bring more revenue for the state, a thousand jet skis or a thousand fishing license with the boats and equipment associated with those licenses?
